New racing gearbox kit for RG 500 / 400 SUZUKI engine. Ratios: KIT (Original) 1st : 11 x28x 21 (11 x29x 21) 2nd : 17×32 (16×28) 3rd : 20×31 (21×29) 4th : 21×28 (23×27) 5th : 22×27 (22×23) 6th : 27×29 (23×22) This kit have shorter racing gaps in 1->2 and 2->3 compared to original gearbox (which is one of the original gearbox weeks points), so result is similar ratios than Nova racing RG500 gearbox kit, but need to have sprokets corrections on secondary transmission to be similar : for road use : 17×39 to 17×41 at the rear (17×41 is the best compromise) for track use on small track : 16×41 to 16×43 is often used on long track : 17×41 or 17×40 (like Le Castelet, Nogaro) Gears are made from EN36C material hardened + tempered + shot peening. Drive & driven shafts + kick gear are not include in the kit , these parts are re-used from original RG500 gearbox. The special 1st 28T driven gear is designed to works with original 11T drive shaft gear and 21T kick gear. The advantage of this kit compared to others : – all racing dogs undercuted (excepted 1st) – more strength and reliable dogs – racing ratios – no brass bush inside gears, only needle bearing and steel collars hardened & nitrided (no wear) – teeth width optimized on each gears – drive & driven shaft + kick gear from Original RG500 gearbox is re-use –> the less expensive kit on the market for the best reliability. The kit include: – all specials gears wheels as shown in splitted views (Qty = 10) – 2 RG500 collars for 5 & 6th drive gear – 2 Suzuki splined collar for 3 & 4th driven gear – 1 Suzuki collar for 2nd driven gear – 1 needle bearing for 1st driven gear – 3 rings retainers for driven shaft – 2 rings retainers for drive shaft – 4 Suzuki washers for driven shaft – 2 RG500 washers (between 3th and 4th driven gear) Splitted views with all SUZUKI reference parts used will be supply with the kit. NOTE: – The kit need to be used with shafts and kick gear in good condition. Pay attention to the clips side fitting. I decline any responsability in case of breakage caused by a wrong fitting or bad used. This kit is reliable, tested on many RG500 bike in France (track days and road).
